MY FIRST TRIP
(almost) POST – PANDEMIC
In Hawaii, people fully vaccinated (14 days after the second shot) can travel inter-island without any COVID-19 testing and quarantine requirements.
Great news!
We have to open a personal account on a Government website, upload some information, post the photo of the CDC Vaccination Card and respond to a medical questionnaire 24 hours before the departure. I received by email my QR Code to show at the airport, and voila’ …. easy.
Immediately, I purchased a flight ticket to Hilo (Big island), I went on Expedia and I made the hotel reservation for two nights, I prepared my camera backpack, and …. go!
I know, the flight Honolulu-Hilo, 50 minutes, is not a big adventure, but consider that after more than one year, this is the first time we sit on a plane!
I was super happy!
